Sign Up For Saturday's First Annual Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot

Santa will arrive by helicopter at 11 a.m.! Also, free hot chocolate and free beer!

The First Annual Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot is set for Saturday, Nov. 26 so sign up now.

Participants can sign up for the 10k or 5k race for $45. For just $10, participants can sign up to walk the course and sign kids up for the half-mile kids fun run.

Participants can pick up race packets at The Joseph Ambler Inn – 1005 Horsham Road, North Wales – between 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Those who cannot pick up packets Wednesday night can pick them up on race day or have someone pick up the packet for them.

The day kicks off at 6:30 when registration opens at The Market at DelVal, 2100 Lower State Road, Doylestown. The kids fun run will begin at 7:50 a.m. and the 10K will kick off at 8 a.m. The 5k will start at 8:10 a.m. with the two-mile walk beginning shortly after at 8:11 a.m.

Awards for will be handed out at 10:15 and Santa Claus will arrive via helicopter to meet with participants at 11 a.m.

Awards will be given for 10K & 5k participants only. Awards include: overall winner (male and female), as well as the top three males and top three females in each age category: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Each kid who participates in the fun run will get a medal, too.

Runners are also encouraged, but not required, to dress up in holiday-themed costumes for the run. Awards will also be given for the best costumes.

Weyerbacher Brewing Company will be serving free beer to all registered runners 21 years old and up and hot chocolate and apple cider will also be on hand to keep runners warm while they visit with Santa.

The run will be on the U.S. Route 202 Parkway, which will be completely closed to traffic during the race.

Participants can park at Delaware Valley University's parking lots.
