PA Snow Squalls Cause 'Near Whiteout' Conditions, Car Pileups

Breaking: A snow squall warning is in place in parts of the region through 3 p.m. after "near whiteout" conditions reported.

Snow squalls moving through Eastern Pennsylvania Wednesday caused near whiteout conditions, and prompted a massive multi-car pile up on one area highway.

As a result, the NWS issued a "Snow Squall Warning" through 3 p.m. in the following areas:

The squalls are blamed for a multi-car pileup in Berks County. It involved "dozens of vehicles," CBS 21 reported. It's not yet clear if there are any injuries.
