Souderton’s Rotary Park Gets New Wind Sculpture

Travel Haus owner Suzi Berry donates Journey with the Wind as part of the company's 40th anniversary celebration

The Souderton-Telford Rotary Club is proud to announce the installation of Journey with the Wind, a new wind sculpture in Souderton’s Rotary Park donated by Rotarian Suzi Berry, owner of Travel Haus, in honor of the company’s 40th anniversary year.

Installed as part of the Club’s Centennial-year celebration, Journey with the Wind is a 13-foot-tall double helix horizontal wind sculpture that adds a dynamic new visual landmark to the park. Designed to move with the breeze, the sculpture brings motion, artistry, and energy to the park experience.

The new piece expands the Rotary Park Sculpture Garden, joining the art dedicated to Rotary Member John Moyer and adding a new element of motion to the park’s evolving collection of public art. As the garden continues to grow, it offers visitors another way to experience Rotary Park and reflects the Club’s commitment to creating a space that is both welcoming and visually engaging.

The gift represents more than a new artistic addition to Rotary Park. It also reflects two milestones worth celebrating: the continued transformation of Rotary Park as a gathering place for the community and the 40-year legacy of a local business choosing to mark its anniversary by giving back in a lasting, public way.

“Rotary Park was envisioned as a place where community, recreation, and beauty come together,” said Leon Moyer, a previous Souderton-Telford Rotary Club president who led the Rotary Park Project. “Journey with the Wind adds a new dimension to that vision, and we are especially grateful to Suzi Berry and Travel Haus for commemorating an important business milestone with a gift the entire community can enjoy.”

Berry, a longtime community supporter and Rotarian, said the donation was a meaningful way to celebrate Travel Haus’ anniversary while investing in a place that brings people together.

“Travel Haus has been part of this community for 40 years, and I wanted to celebrate that milestone in a way that gives something lasting back. Journey with the Wind felt especially meaningful because travel is, at its heart, about movement, discovery, and the journey,” Berry said.

The sculpture also helps set the stage for another special occasion. The public is invited to save the date for the Travel Haus 40th anniversary celebration in Rotary Park on May 16, when the community will have an opportunity to gather and celebrate both the milestone anniversary and the spirit of community that inspired the gift.

As both a work of public art and a moving wind sculpture, Journey with the Wind offers visitors a different experience as conditions change throughout the day, creating a sense of motion and discovery within the park’s landscape.

“This is the kind of gift that creates an immediate impact,” said Sarah Bergin, current Souderton-Telford Rotary Club President. “It enhances the park today, but it also becomes part of the experience for families, visitors, and residents for years to come.”

For Berry, the donation reflects the spirit of travel itself: movement, exploration, and the idea that meaningful journeys often connect people to places in lasting ways. In Rotary Park, Journey with the Wind now stands as both a celebration of Travel Haus’ milestone and a new point of interest for residents and visitors alike.
