DOYLESTOWN, PA — Pennsylvania Soup and Seafood, well known for its delicious soups and seafood dishes, has shut down operations inside the Main Street Marketplace in the heart of the borough.

The closure was announced earlier this week in a Facebook posting by owners Keith Blalock and Chad Riedley.

“It is with a heavy heart yet profound gratitude that we announce the closure of PA Soup and Seafood,” wrote the owners. “These past 17 years, it has been our pleasure to serve the friends and families of the Doylestown community.”

Keith Blalock and Chad Riedley also own Penn Taproom on State Street, which will continue to operate and will be accepting gift cards from PA Seafood, according to the Facebook posting.

While closing one chapter, they left the door open for a new venture.

“Stay tuned for information on our next project,” they wrote.

On a personal note, I’m going to miss popping in there on a cold winter’s day and warming up with a bowl of their delicious soup. Looking forward to hearing about their next venture and hoping it involves soup!!
