You know what I mean, a scratch golfer on the range, striping drives and flushing irons, only to morph into a 20-handicapper the moment you step onto the first tee? You're not alone. Countless golfers suffer from this frustrating disconnect, diligently practicing for hours, yet failing to translate that polished range performance to the pressure-packed environment of the course. The culprit? It might just be the way you're practicing.

We've all heard the mantra: "Repetition is the key to consistency." This ingrained belief has led many down the path of blocked practice – hitting the same club, at the same target, with the same shot shape, over and over again. While there's a place for honing specific techniques with repetition, relying solely on blocked practice can create a false sense of accomplishment.   • Club Chaos: Don't just pound drivers. Hit a driver, then a 7-iron, then a wedge, then a hybrid. Mix it up! Force yourself to switch gears mentally and physically between each shot.
  • Target Tango: Don't just aim at the flag every time. Practice hitting to different parts of the range, visualizing different pin positions, and working on your accuracy to specific zones. This will improve your course management and strategic thinking.
