Heavy Rain Causes Flooding In Doylestown Sunday

Parts of Doylestown flooded as storms and heavy rain descended upon the area early Sunday.

In Doylestown Borough, East Street, East Hill and Forest Drive was closed due to flooding.

In Doylestown Township, the following roads were closed: Sandy Knoll Drive, Pine Run Road at Chapman, North Shady Retreat at Burpee and Rickert roads.

A Flash Flood Watch was in place through 10 a.m.; a Flash Flood Warning was in place through 11:30 a.m.

Flooding was also reported across Bucks County on Sunday morning. In Newtown Borough, streets have also closed, as well as in Yardley and Northampton Township.
