Sunday Morning House Fire Claims Life Of Bucks County Woman

Perkasie Borough firefighters, along with members of the Perkasie Borough Police Department, responded to the scene at 10:40 a.m.

PERKASIE, PA — A 75-year-old woman died Sunday morning in a house fire that broke out on Parkridge Court in Perkasie Borough.

Perkasie Borough firefighters along with members of the Perkasie Borough Police Department responded to 1305 Parkridge Court at 10:40 a.m. for an active building fire.

Upon arrival firefighters entered the building and located a 75-year-old woman who appeared to have suffered smoke inhalation and was deceased, fire officials said.

The Perkasie Fire Company was assisted at the scene by the Sellersville Fire Company. Fire crews remained on scene for approximately 3 1/2 hours extinguishing hot spots and conducting overhaul operations.

The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation by the Bucks County Fire Marshals Office and Perkasie Borough detectives. The cause of death is being investigated by Perkasie Borough Detectives and the Bucks County Coroner's Office.
