Suspected DUI Arrests, Road Rage Incident: Plumstead Police Report

Police are also investigating an attempted fraudulent transaction at a township business.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between March 6 and 11:

March 6

  • At 9:32 a.m., officers responded to a business on Swamp Road for a fraudulent transaction attempt. The complainant told police that a man came into the business and attempted to gain access to a business account that was determined did not belong to him. The complainant was denied access to the account. The incident is under investigation.

  • At 7:27 p.m., officers responded to a single vehicle accident in the Plumstead Square shopping center. Upon speaking with the driver of a silver Toyota TC, the officer detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator, a 46 ear old man from Warminster, was unable to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

March 10

  • At 1:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on North Easton Road on the driver of a black Chevrolet Avalanche. When the officer approached the vehicle the driver’s speech was slurred and his motor skills were delayed. The driver, a 68 year old man from Perkasie was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

  • At 2:22 p.m., police responded to the area of Swamp Road for a road rage incident. The complainant stated that a vehicle was driving erratically and pulled up next to their vehicle and pointed what looked like a handgun. Officers were able to identify the driver of the suspect vehicle and further investigation revealed the operator displayed a multi tool and that it was not a handgun. The driver was warned for his actions and no further action was taken.
