A&T Subaru and LLS Eastern PA-Delaware Uplift Cancer Patients
A&T Subaru and LLS Eastern PA-Delaware Join Forces to Uplift Cancer Patients at Grand View Health and Alliance Cancer Specialists
A&T Subaru and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Eastern PA-Delaware are proud to announce their continued partnership for 2024, dedicated to bringing comfort and encouragement to cancer patients at Grand View Health and Alliance Cancer Specialists.
This heartwarming initiative includes distributing comfort blankets, arts and crafts kits, and uplifting notes penned by A&T Subaru customers and team members. Both organizations are united in their commitment to support and uplift the spirits of those battling cancer.
"Our collaboration with LLS Eastern PA-Delaware and the health care professionals at Grand View Health and Alliance Cancer Specialists is more than just offering physical comfort. It's about letting patients know they have support and are not facing their battle alone," said Jeff Allen, A&T Subaru president.
The comfort blankets offer physical warmth and emotional support, while the arts and crafts kits provide a creative outlet and distraction during treatment. The handwritten notes convey messages of encouragement and strength, adding a personal touch to this compassionate effort.
“These donations have a profound impact on our patients receiving cancer treatment at Grand View Health. We are sincerely grateful for the dedication and generosity that bring these gifts to life,” said Kara Febus, BSN, RN; Lung Care Navigator, Grand View Health.
Now in its ninth year, this partnership is part of the Subaru Loves to Care program. Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have collaborated with LLS to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts and crafts kits, reaching nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.
"This partnership with A&T Subaru reflects our mission at LLS: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families," said Megan Haegley, Campaign Development Manager at LLS Eastern PA-Delaware.
Together, A&T Subaru and LLS Eastern PA-Delaware continue to make a meaningful impact, one blanket, one kit, and one note at a time.
The community is invited to participate by visiting the A&T Subaru showroom at 801 Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville to sign a message of hope for a patient fighting cancer. Or visit http://www.lls.org/subaru to learn more and to send a digital message of hope.
