DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The new Target Store at the Doylestown Shopping Center is scheduled to open to the public on Sunday, July 21, according to an announcement made by the company on Wednesday.

Following its 8 a.m. opening, the 74,500-square-foot store on North Main Street will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Doylestown will be Target's 78th store in Pennsylvania; the company opened its first location in the Commonwealth in 1998. Its newest store will employ around 95 team members, according to the company.

“We’re real excited," said Sean Sablosky, the CEO and founding partner of Arrow Real Estate Services, which handles the leasing of the shopping center property. "This is exactly what the shopping center was built for. It was built to have a department store in it.

"There’s a long history of wonderful stores at the shopping center starting in the 1950s with W.T. Grants and then with Hess’s, the Bon-Ton, and now Target. We’re thrilled to add Target to our roster of tenants," said Sablosky.

When it opens, the new store will house a CVS Pharmacy, a Starbucks Cafe, and Ulta Beauty in addition to its retail operations. The new store also will offer drive-up, order pickup, and same-day delivery services.

"With every grand opening, we’re making an investment in our stores-as-hubs model,
in which our stores serve as both shopping destinations and fulfillment hubs to deliver what guests need, when and where they need it," said Target in announcing its newest round of store openings in Pennsylvania, California and Missouri. "Combined with our reimagined store design, growing number of shop-in-shops and commitment to sustainability and our communities, we’re working to help all families discover the joy of everyday life."

Sablosky said Target's arrival is a win-win for the community and for the shopping center.

Following Bon-Ton's closure, Sablosky said there was a lot of interest in the space from numerous retailers, but the decision came down to what’s going to be best for the shopping center and for the residents of Doylestown. “Nothing is beneficial to the shopping center unless it’s what the community wants,” he said. “And I think for the most part people are happy."

The shopping center is also home to more than 20 other businesses, including ACME Market, Planet Fitness, Staples, Famous Footwear, Bacco Italian Bistro, Starbucks, Wendy’s, Pet Supplies Plus, Penn Community Bank, Turning Point, Great Clips, PNC Bank, Trinity Rehab, Carroll's Jewelers, among others.
