Teacher Announces Candidacy For 178th State House Seat In Bucks
Warwick woman said she is running because the district needs responsive, community-focused representation that puts local priorities first.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Monica Weninger, a public school science teacher and longtime Warwick Township resident, announced on Monday that she is running as a Democrat for Pennsylvania State Representative in the 178th Legislative District.
Weninger said she is running because she believes the district needs responsive, community-focused representation in Harrisburg that puts local priorities first.
“Our district deserves a representative who shows up, listens, and works across party lines to solve real problems,” Weninger said. “Families are feeling squeezed by rising costs, schools need consistent support, and too many decisions feel disconnected from the communities they affect. I’m running to be a steady, practical voice for this district.”

“This race is about earning trust through presence and hard work,” Weninger said. “I believe representation should be earned every day, and I’m ready to do that work.”
