What does this person teach?
4th grade (moving to 5th grade)
Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
Mr. Zweig has a unique and engaging teaching style that makes every student in his class feel seen, supported, and loved. He encourages everyone to take chances, make mistakes and learn from them, become more responsible, and find enjoyment in learning. My child's confidence and achievement has soared this past year in Mr. Zweig's class and we couldn't be more thankful. He is a gifted educator and he has made our child excited to go to school and want to succeed. Not every teacher has this ability, and we are so thankful that Mr. Zweig has had such a meaningful impact on our child.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
Male teachers in elementary schools are few and far between. We need more teachers like Mr. Zweig who connects with his students and acts as a role model. He creates a class family that is closer than some blood relatives have. How does he do that? By seeing our kids for who they are, highlighting their strengths and interests, and supporting them in their areas of need without ever making them feel less than others.
