Theft At Wawa, Counterfeit Bills Reported By Police In Doylestown
The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reports that incidents of identity theft and fraud are happening on a regular basis.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department responded to the following incidents during the month of January:
- A theft was reported on January 5 at the Wawa at 425 S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Two unknown subjects stole candy and cigarettes valued at $212.
- Multiple businesses throughout Doylestown Borough reported falling victim to counterfeit bills. Police advise businesses to be on the lookout for counterfeit bills. "Talk to the staff and make sure that they are familiar with how to recognize them," police said. This is an ongoing investigation. Any business that encounters counterfeit bills is asked to notify police.
- Numerous incidents of identity theft and fraud are occurring on a regular basis, police said. "Continue to be vigilant and cautious. Do not give out your personal or financial information over the phone or via email without first confirming who you are giving it to."
