Thefts, Weapons Violation Under Investigation By Pennridge Police
Police also investigated a fight, responded to several accidents and made on arrest for fleeing and eluding arrest.
PENNRIDGE, PA — Pennridge Regional Police reported the following incidents and arrests between Dec. 1 and 7. They also investigated 211 incidents and issued 43 traffic citations and warnings:
- Disorderly Person: Officers responded to Penn Foundation, 807 Lawn Ave., on December 3 for a disturbance in the parking lot. Upon arrival of officers, it was determined that a new patient had arrived for treatment and was arguing with family in the parking lot. The issue was resolved, and the patient entered the facility to begin treatment.
- Weapons Offense: Pennridge Regional Police are investigating a violation of the Weapons Act following a complaint received from the Pennsylvania State Police. Officers were informed that a patron of a recent gun show at the VFW Forrest Lodge had attempted to purchase a firearm and was not authorized to do so. Police are still actively investigating.
- Theft: A resident who resides in the 800 block of David Lane, reported that their 24-foot red extension ladder was removed from the property. There was little information regarding a suspect or vehicle that could be involved.
- Theft: A business owner from Daniels Road contacted police to report that an ex-employee had stolen several tools from their business. Upon investigation, the tools were returned. This incident is still under investigation.
- Disturbance: Pennridge Regional Police responded to a report of a fight, not in progress at the Penn Foundation building, 807 Lawn Ave., on December 4. Upon arrival of police, it was determined that two patients had a verbal and physical altercation regarding behavior at the facility. Both parties involved wished to continue treatment at the facility, and no police action was taken.
Arrests
- Fleeing and Eluding Arrest: David Andrew Zazulak, 53 of Jenkintown, was charged with Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer following an attempted vehicle stop. On December 1, an officer attempted to stop Mr. Zazulak as he operated his Ford F350 on Bethlehem Pike. Mr. Zazulak failed to stop for police and was later located hiding in the woods near a residence in Richland Township. Mr. Zazulak will have a court date in the near future.

- December 3: Officers responded to the area of Bethlehem Pike and Weikel Road for a one vehicle traffic accident, involving a Mitsubishi Highlander that had struck a deer. No injuries were reported.
- December 4: Pennridge Regional Police responded to the area of Hill Road and Stone Edge Road for a two-vehicle traffic accident. Upon arrival officers found that a School bus and a Mack trash truck had collided, as the school bus passed the trash truck as it collected trash. No injuries were reported, and no students were on the bus at the time of the crash.
