There’s Still Time To Catch Fall Festivals Near Doylestown

Fall is also the season for corn mazes, pumpkin patches, trick-or-treating and apple orchard visits.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Fall is a great time to get outside in Doylestown and take in the rich offering of festivals.

The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.

Fall is also the season for corn mazes, pumpkin patches and apple orchard visits. Here are a few festivals and events in the Doylestown area worth putting on the calendar:

  • Discover Doylestown presents a Spooktacular Parade and Costume Contest on Saturday, October 22 beginning at 10 a.m. on the lawn of the Bucks County Administration Building, 55 East Court Street, and then parading down Pine Street onto East State Street. After the costume contest wraps up, trick-or-treating will be happening throughout town. Look for stores and restaurants with orange and black balloons hanging outside. Advanced registration is strongly suggested!
  • A Fall Festival at Froehlich's Farm & Garden, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The farm is located at 3143 York Road, Furlong. The lineup includes music, super hero and princess guest appearances, Sand Castle Winery, The Proper Brewing Company and more.
  • Scarecrows In the Village, Peddler's Village, Lahaska. Scarecrows are on display throughout the month of October. OctoberFeast features a weekend of food trucks, live entertainment, beer garden and family activities on Oct. 15 and 16. Admission and parking are free.
  • "TP My House - A Legal Mischief Night For A Cause." Oct. 30 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at 71 Oak Drive, Doylestown. Bring your own roll of toilet paper to throw. Each roll you toss is a $5 donation to Pine2Pink with all funds benefiting local breast cancer patients. Candy will be provided by Evolution Candy with live music by the Doylestown School of Rock.
  • Bountiful Acres Nursery & Garden Center, 5074 York Road, Holicong. Fall family fun weekends. Pick your own pumpkins from the Pumpkin Patch. Cornstalk Maze. Hay Ride. Children's Train Ride. Special performance by Yoyo on Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. $10 admission.
