3 Face Retail Theft Charges In Warrington Township
Woman attempts to steal seafood from Wegmans, two others commit retail thefts at the Target store.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police have charged three people with retail theft for incidents that took place at the Target and at the Wegmans stores.

- Police responded to Target for the report of a retail theft that just occurred. Loss prevention told police that a man from Blackwood, New Jersey, and a woman from Ambler selected merchandise, concealed it, and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise. As the man was exiting the store, he also stole a pedestrian crossing sign that was positioned in front of the store. Both subjects were located several days later and taken into custody and transported to the station. Both subjects were processed. The woman was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft. The man was charged with retail theft, receiving stolen merchandise and theft by unlawful taking. He was arraigned by Judge Wertman who set bail at $50,000 unsecured.

- Warrington Police responded to Wegmans for the report of a retail theft that just occurred. Loss prevention told police that a woman, later identified as Marguerite Wetzel from Glenside, selected $138.12 worth of seafood and other merchandise. She then exited the store without paying. When she was confronted by a store employee, police said she gave up the merchandise and fled the scene. An officer located the vehicle that Wetzel was driving and made a traffic stop. Wetzel was placed under arrest and transported to the station where she was processed and released. She is charged with retail theft (F3) and receiving stolen merchandise (F3).
