Three Killed In Separate Crashes in Upper Bucks County: Coroner

One man was killed in a two-car crash in Nockamixon Township. A couple also died in a crash in Sellersville Borough.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The long holiday weekend brought tragedy to two Upper Bucks County highways.

The Bucks County Coroner's office was called out for two fatal motor vehicle accidents that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Tjerk J. Post, 55, from Montgomery County, was killed in a two-car crash on Old Easton Road in Nockamixon Township. Post, the driver of one of the vehicles, was transported to Grandview Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Coroner Meredith Buck confirmed the cause of death as multiple injuries and determined his manner of death to be accidental.

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were transported to an out-of-county hospital where they were expected to survive.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.

The second fatal motor vehicle accident occurred Saturday evening, Oct 7 on Ridge Road in Sellersville Borough.

John Christian, 71, from Montgomery County, was pronounced on scene. His wife, Christine Christian, 70, was rushed to Grandview Hospital where she died the next day (October 8) as a result of the accident.

The couple died from multiple injuries with their manner of death determined to be accidental, the coroner's office said.
