Tri-Township Headed to Babe Ruth World Series

Tri-Township Senior Babe Ruth team is headed to the World Series tournament, which kicks off this week.

State Representative Scott Petri presented Head Coach Ken Irwin with the Pennsylvania state flag before a hundred supporters at the teams surprise send off Tuesday night.

Tri-Township plays their first game Friday at 11 a.m. against the Alabama Rawdogs.

This season, Tri-Township went undefeated through States including a come back in the championship game with more than a half dozen runs in the final inning to win their State Title.

The team last went to the Babe Ruth World Series in 2011, when they were national runner-ups.
