Two Charged With Firearms Violations After Traffic Stop In Doylestown

The Philadelphia men were arrested following a traffic stop at Bridge and Main.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A traffic stop in Doylestown Borough led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and a controlled substance and the arrest of the driver and his passenger, according to the Central Bucks Regional Police.

Cameron Justin Ellis and his passenger, Vincent Earl Daughtry, both of Philadelphia, were arrested during a traffic stop at Main and Bridge for a Pennsylvania registration plate returning a different vehicle. A loaded firearm was found inside the vehicle along with controlled substances, police said.

Ellis was charged with possession of a firearm with no license to carry, possession of a controlled substance, and driving an unregistered vehicle. He was arraigned, bail was set at $25,000 unsecured and he was released.

Daughtry was found to have an active warrant out of Philadelphia. A loaded firearm was in the vehicle along with a controlled substance. Daughtry is prohibited from possessing a firearm.

He was arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $10,000 and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
