Unami Middle Wins Back-To-Back Softball Championships
The team compiled an overall record of 12 to 2 outscoring their opponents 164 to 48 with three shutouts.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — For the second season in a row, Unami Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade softball team has won the Central Bucks School District’s softball championship.
Outfielder Ava Napoli posted an outstanding game performance with two runs scored coupled with multiple exciting catches in center field for crucial outs while pitcher Hannah McClintock racked up a dozen strikeouts, scored two runs and was selected as the team's player of the game.
Under Unami teacher Scott Fischer (17th season) and assistant coach Nicole Boyer (first season), the team compiled an overall record of 12 to 2 outscoring their opponents 164 to 48 with three shutouts. Playing in the Bucks County League’s Northern Division, the eighth grade team compiled a record of 6 to 2 while the 7th grade squad went undefeated in their regular season schedule.

Additionally, in his 17th non-consecutive season, head coach Fischer, of Chalfont, ended the season with 126 career wins. He has taught social studies at Unami Middle School for 29 years and also previously had coached for seven years as part of the local Lenape Valley softball program.

Both coaches said they are looking forward to coaching next year’s team.
