Upscale Martini And Private Members Only Lounge Coming To Doylestown
The Lounge at Frost will feature an upscale, public Martini lounge on the first floor and a private elevated, members-only lounge upstairs.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — An upscale New York-style Martini bar and an exclusive members-only lounge will be opening in downtown Doylestown in mid-January.
Tucked away at 46 East State Street across from Rakkii Ramen, The Lounge at Frost will feature an upscale, public lounge on the first floor and an elevated, members-only lounge and dining experience on the second floor.
“Frost is something very different that Doylestown does not have,” said managing partner Uri Abrams, who took Patch on an exclusive tour of the new lounge. “We don’t want to be another bar. This is going to be a New York-style Martini lounge - very high end, very exclusive with a great vibe. And upstairs is going to be a lounge that’s membership only."

The first floor will have a very different vibe than upstairs. It will be more informal, with TVs for special sporting events and live bands and jazz music on select evenings. The upstairs will be quieter and more sophisticated, perfect for meetings with clients and colleagues.
“Frost is going to be the place to be in Doylestown,” said Abrams. “Our claim to fame will be our rare, unique, high end wines that you can’t get anywhere else.”

The Lounge at Frost is located inside the former Bobby Simone's Restaurant and Bar at 46 East State Street.
Both the public and private lounges will serve an extensive selection of house-made infusions, unique and rare wines, colorful libations featuring freshly squeezed juices, modern ingredients, and a menu of light fusion fare.
The first floor space, done in a black and white modern, 21st Century motif, is home to a 65 seat public Martini lounge - a tribute to the opulence and excesses of the 1920s. This is where the three Martini lunch is part of the vernacular and customers can order their Martini’s dry, perfect or neat.
“We rebuilt everything here,” said Abrams. “We want this to be a ‘take your date, but still don’t miss the ballgame’ type of lounge. We’ll have small plates - tapas. You’re not going to get a steak dinner or surf and turf here. It’s going to be little plates - sharing - charcuterie boards, little Mediterranean plates. We’ll have specialty drinks and very high end, very unique wines.”

Upstairs is the more formal 65 to 70 seat private lounge, which members enter through a first floor door designed to look like an iconic red British telephone booth. A special prohibition era code will give members access to an exclusive loft area featuring a high brow piano lounge done in a Gothic old library motif.
"This upscale historic library setting will serve as a retreat for the evening, where you can indulge in one of many delicious cocktails in an atmosphere that maintains privacy for members only," said Abrams. "As Doylestown’s premier lounge, Frost is designed with the elite professional in mind and an experience unlike any other in the area, guaranteed to exceed your expectations.
“We’ll have a live piano player on Friday and Saturday nights, sometimes accompanied by live instrumentalists. The atmosphere will be laid back,” said Abrams. “This is going to be something very unique in Doylestown."

Abrams acquired the building and the liquor license from Bobby Simone who operated a restaurant and bar here for more than 15 years. He had shut down the bar prior to the pandemic.
“I bought the building and the liquor license with the idea of renting it to a restaurateur, but one thing led to another and I decided to open my own place,” said Abrams.
Abrams has spared no expense, investing in a major renovation of the space and bringing employees on board with expertise and knowledge of the wine and mixed drink industry.
“I have a trained mixologist on board. I have a certified sommelier on board. All the wines will be handpicked,” said Abrams. “Our claim to fame in Doylestown will be rare, unique, high end fine wines that you can’t get anywhere else.”

According to Abrams, memberships are still available for the exclusive lounge, but are going fast.
Membership includes private access to the lounge, invitation and priority access to Frost-sponsored events, Frost concierge for direct assistance in confirming any and all arrangements, members-only savings, invitation to private wine tastings and access to rare wine purchases.
The first floor Martini Lounge will be open to the public, although reservations are recommended.
