Vine and Fig Tree to Close

Vine and Fig Tree Bistro will close Oct. 20, the restaurant’s owner announced this week.

According to a Facebook post, the bistro was unable to renew its lease. “I have looked near and far at possible spaces to relocate Vine & Fig with no luck,” Owner Drew Abbate posted on Facebook.

The bistro will be open until Oct. 20. Abbate said in the post that he plans to work at an area restaurant once the Vine and Fig Tree closes, although the location was not named.

The post generated dozens of comments from people sad to see the eatery close.

“I am so sorry to hear about this--your restaurant was one of my favorites,” wrote one commenter.

“A loss to Doylestown--and to many individuals who loved to dine with you,” wrote another.
