More than 20 help decorate the town with holiday wreaths and snowflakes in preparation for a December packed with holiday events.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Doylestown Borough is officially ready for the holiday season.
Over the weekend, teams of volunteers decorated the town with more than lighted wreaths and snowflakes complements of Discover Doylestown and Doylestown Borough.
Among the 20 volunteers lending a hand on Saturday were Michael and Irene Feingold of Doylestown Borough who came out to give back. They were hanging wreaths in front of the historic Fountain House in the heart of town.

“Civic duty is important for our little town,” said Irene. “If everyone would do just a little thing, that would make such a difference. We’re doing this because we love our town. It’s a special place. People are kind and good here. It’s just a special place.”

The hanging of the greens is the prelude to a busy holiday season of events in Doylestown Borough highlighted by the town’s tree lighting and Santa Parade presented by Simply Fresh on Friday, Nov. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the heart of Doylestown.
For the 110th year, the community will gather at State and Main to light the town’s tree, again donated by Bountiful Acres.

Following the tree lighting and parade, the holiday shopping season will kick into high gear on Small Business Saturday, November 30.
Throughout the holiday season there will be a ton of things to do all around town, including holiday movies at the County Theater, a special brunch, opportunities to visit with Santa, and lots more, said organizers.
