Volunteers Needed For Doylestown Arts Fest

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Doylestown Arts Festival will return next month, and volunteers are needed.

The festival is back on Sept. 7 and 8 throughout Doylestown Borough. It's the 28th anniversary of the festival, which is organized entirely by volunteers with Discover Doylestown.

According to organizers, the festival is a "major undertaking" and help from 100 volunteers is needed the weekend of the event.

This year's festival will highlight 160 independent artists. Plus, there will be five stages of live music, interactive events, demonstrations, a kids zone, and a food court. Each year, the free festival draws tens of thousands of visitors.

“Our small committee pours hundreds of hours into this event 365 days a year. Once the weekend hits even our superheroes need a helping hand,” said festival director Paul Boger. “It simply would not be possible without each and every volunteer who steps up to be part of this amazing event.”

Volunteer opportunities range from booth setup and stage crew to parking attendants and clean up crews. Pre-registered volunteers will be given a t-shirt and provided all the materials and direction needed to help.

The festival will provide signed hours and letters for those needing community service hours.

“It really is a unique way to experience one of Doylestown’s best weekends. You get to see the magic behind the scenes and meet some really amazing members of our community,” festival co-director and Discover Doylestown president Kris Boger said.

The festival will run both days from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
