Warrington To Break Ground On Lindy Community Center At Lions Park

The new $1.7 million center is designed to centralize the township's recreational activities

WARRINGTON, PA — Ground will be broken in early March for the Lindy Community Center at Lions Pride Park in Warrington.

Located on the former site of Twin Oaks Day Camp in Warrington, Lions Pride Park features Lindy Communities Kids Mountain and the Toll Brothers Grove, completed in 2020, as well as a wetland habitat which will be completed later this year.

The Board of Supervisors approved a naming rights agreement with Lindy Communities at a recent board meeting.

The $1.7 million project, which will help Warrington Township centralize its recreational activities, will feature:

  • A multi-purpose room that can accommodate up to 100 people
  • A lobby/pre-function area
  • An outside covered porch and patio area

Additional funding for the Lindy Community Center will come from a $500,000 Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Commerce and Economic Development.

The remaining funding will come from township funds and other naming rights opportunities, including:

  • Meeting room: $50,000
  • Lobby/foyer: $25,000
  • Covered patio/porch: $25,000

Lindy Communities has been a steadfast supporter of Warrington Township recreational projects for many years, including the recently completed DocterAdams Community Park.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Lindy Community Center will take place on Friday, March 10 at 11 a.m. at Lions Pride Park, located at 3129 Bradley Road, Chalfont. State and local officials will be in attendance. The public is invited to attend.
