Warrington Firefighters Respond To Brush And Building Fires

Over the past two weeks, Warrington Township Fire Co. No. 1 responded to 35 calls, including a car into a house.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Fire Company No. 1 has had a busy two weeks responding to numerous box alarms and brush fires.

In a Facebook posting, the company reported 35 fire calls over the past two weeks for numerous working fires, a vehicle into a building with entrapment, and with the extremely dry conditions, numerous brush fires.

Fire officials are urging everyone to abide by the 30-day burn ban implemented on Sunday by Bucks County.

The ban prohibits open fires, including the incineration of garbage, leaves, grass, twigs, litter, paper and other materials whether in burn barrels, fire rings or on the ground.

The temporary ban comes at the urging of top municipal fire officials from throughout Bucks County who requested the measure in response to the extended period of dry conditions affecting the area.
