Warrington Officer Recognized For Prescription Fraud Investigation

Sgt. Stebner received the Inspector Generals Award for excellence in Fighting Fraud, Waste and Abuse of Prescription Medications.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — After nearly a seven year investigation into a prescription fraud case, which led to a successful prosecution, Warrington Police Sergeant Kevin Stebner was honored May 4 at the Hubert H Humphrey Building, Office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C.

Sergeant Stebner received the Inspector General's Award for excellence in Fighting Fraud, Waste and Abuse of Prescription Medications. The award was in recognition of outstanding teamwork and excellence for protecting beneficiaries and the public from dangerous illegally distributed controlled substances.

The case was assisted by the PA Office of the Attorney General, HHS Office of Investigations Philadelphia, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of PA and the Bucks County Office of the District Attorney.
