WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Wawa customers in Warrington will have to head out of town for the next eight to nine months to pick up their favorite Wawa sandwiches, coffee and sizzli.

The store at Route 611 and Maple Avenue closed its doors on February 5 to make way for a brand new convenience store and gas station that will be built at the site during the coming months.

The 3,200-square-foot store built in 1994 at 550 Easton Road will be replaced by a new 5,585-square-foot store and a six pump fueling station.

The new convenience store and gas station will share an entrance with Chickie’s & Pete from Easton Road. Access will be limited to right-in, right-out and left-in movements only.

In addition, a new right-out exit will be provided onto Maple Avenue. And along Kansas Road, an existing full-movement site access will be relocated approximately 20 feet to the south to better align with Elm Avenue.
