This weekends Bucks County Renaissance Faire shares its theme

Literature comes alive this weekend a 5 chapter story-line surrounded by 10 stages, 30 performers, artisans, games, merchants, food & more

The 20th Village Renaissance Faire continues to offer its more than 8000 guests new and interesting twists on edutainment. This weekend the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds in Wrightstown, PA on September 14 & 15, will transform into a historical village at festival time to help the public library—the Village Library of Wrightstown.

This year’s faire will again feature its olde favorites such as jousting knights, flying birds of prey, fire acts, aerialists, and Living Literature while hosting historical shire events and demonstrations. More than 30 acts will grace the fairgrounds and provide continuous entertainment and exhibits fill the 10 stages, and faireways, that have become so profitable and renowned that, acts now seek out the Village Faire for the honour of appearing before the royal court and yes you, the loyal people every September.

The Faire's hallmark centerpeice, Living Literature, aptly named since this is a library event, shares it 20th chapter which is....

The Tale of Gawain and the Green Knight – Gawain takes up the challenge of the strange Green Knight in order to spare Arthur and his court from dishonor. But has until sun down to figure out the riddle of the Lady Ragnellin order to save himself from certain doom.

The Tale of Sir Brunor – Young Sir Brunor arrives with his mortally wounded father Sir Meliot only to learn that the wound is cursed by the sorceress Hellewes to never close. Now he must face a series of trials throughout the day in order to get the holy artifacts to save his father.

The Tale of Tristan – Sir Galleron the Morholt and Sir Tristan are the best of friends but duty and honor will pit them against one another as the Queen of Ireland and King Mark of Cornwall settle an age old rivalry

The Three stories converge as the defeated Queen of Ireland and the sorceress Hellewes join forces to over throw those who have beaten them.
