Woman Arrested For Stealing Seafood: Warrington Crime Report

In other reports, police arrested a woman for possession of suspected narcotics and a man for retail theft at a township grocery store.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police were called to Wegmans on Dec. 19 for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival, police arrested a 40-year-old woman from Trenton who selected $111.18 worth of seafood and merchandise and then exited the store without paying. The woman was transported to the station where she was processed and released.

  • A 39-year-old Warrington woman was arrested by police on Dec. 15 and charged with prohibited acts after a search of her belongings turned up suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia. An officer was on patrol in the area of the Sunoco at 4:27 a.m. when the officer checked the registration of a vehicle and discovered it was expired and also suspended due to an insurance cancellation. The officer observed a woman exit the store and then immediately reenter the store after seeing police. The officer then checked her information through a mobile data terminal and discovered she had two active warrants for her arrest out of Bucks County. The woman later got into the car on the passenger side. Officers stopped the vehicle a short time later, and the woman was taken into custody and transported to the station. During a search of her belongings, officers found suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The woman was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility. The vehicle’s driver was cited for summary violations and released.

  • A 50-year-old Warminster man is facing retail theft charges following an incident at the Wegmans grocery store. Police responded to the store on Dec. 29 for the report of a retail theft. The store's loss prevention employee told police that a man selected five newspapers and a container of chocolate chip cookies and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise, valued at $36. When confronted by loss prevention, the man became uncooperative but ultimately handed over the stolen items. A short time later, an officer on patrol observed the suspect's vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Easton Road and Shetland Drive. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the station for processing. He was arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $50,000 unsecured.

  • A 26-year-old Philadelphia woman was cited for retail theft for an incident that happened at the Ulta Beauty Store in Warrington. Store security personnel told police that an unknown woman entered the store on Dec. 3, selected $130 worth of merchandise, and concealed the items inside a bag. She then exited the store without paying, activating the security alarm. An investigation later identified the woman. When an officer attempted to contact the woman regarding the incident. the woman claimed she did not recall being in the store and abruptly ended the call after being advised she would be receiving a retail theft citation in the mail.
