Weiser, Bancroft Lead For Doylestown Spots: Primary Election 2022
Early results show Angela Weiser has a big lead in the township and confessed Capitol rioter Dawn Bancroft is up by 16 votes in the borough.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Returns are still coming in from the Bucks County Board of Elections for Tuesday night's primary election.
Winners of the Tuesday primary will advance to the general election this November. The Bucks County Board of Elections website was last updated at 10:44 p.m. Monday, with 24.3 percent of precincts counted.
In the borough, Danielle Labrake and Dawn Bancroft were on the Republican ballot to represent the 2nd District. As of 10:44 p.m., Bancroft is up by 16 votes.

Bancroft, a local gym owner, pleaded guilty last year to misdemeanor charges after she entered the U.S. Capitol during the riots of Jan. 6, 2021. She also threatened violence against Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a video, which she sent to a friend, according to federal prosecutors.
Federal court records show Bancroft will be sentenced on May 26; the sentencing was originally scheduled for January.

In the township, Rhonda Rackers and Angela Weiser faced off for the Republican nomination on the Township Committee, 7th District. Weiser leads by 135 votes as of 10:44 p.m.
