Woman Faces Retail Theft Charges In Warrington Township

The woman was taken into custody after failing to pay for merchandise at the Wegmans grocery store.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 44-year-old woman faces theft charges after failing to pay for merchandise at the Wegmans grocery store.

On Nov. 5 at 4:12 p.m., police responded to the store for the report of a retail theft in progress. Through an investigation it was determined that the woman had attempted to exit the store while
failing to pay for $269.95 worth of merchandise.

After a brief foot chase the woman was taken into custody, police said.

A search of the woman revealed drug paraphernalia inside her purse. She was taken into custody and transported to the police station where she was processed. She was turned over to the Bucks County Sheriff's Department on an outstanding warrant.
