Young Doylestown Actress featured in "Annie"
Anna Shea Safran plays Duffy in performances of "Annie" at the Walnut Street Theatre.
Leapin’ Lizards! Young talent from the Doylestown region will be featured in the Walnut Street Theatre’s production of the Tony-Award winning musical ANNIE, playing now through January 7.
Anna Shea Safran, an actress from Doylestown and a student at Bucks County School of Performing Arts, plays the orphan Duffy in all weekend performances of the musical. She returns to the Walnut after playing a Munchkin in last year’s production of The Wizard of Oz.
Safran has also competed in dance and musical theatre for the past three years. She recently took top prize alongside her dance team at Access Broadway in King of Prussia for a vocal and dance performance to the song “It’s a Hard Knock Life.”
