Residents urged Upper Darby officials to preserve one of the township’s last natural areas, while township staff backed the plan as transit-friendly and revenue-generating. • Dingler, McGonigle, Greene named to American League All-Star team (wwmt.com) — Detroit Tigers shortstop Kevin McGonigle, who grew up in Drexel Hill, has been selected to his first MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia, fulfilling a childhood dream.
