Clearfield County is looking for poll workers (theprogressnews.com) — If you live in DuBois City’s 2nd Precinct, Clearfield County needs you to fill a paid minority inspector of election position, with mileage reimbursement included. Several nearby boroughs and townships also have openings, and commissioners approved a slate of county hires, technology agreements, and cost-saving changes to credit card vendors that affect local services and the jail.
   

2. Penfield man charged following police chase (theprogressnews.com) — State police based in DuBois charged a Penfield man after a chase connected to a reported hit-and-run in Clearfield County, later taking him to Penn Highlands DuBois for a blood draw. The 34-year-old faces felony fleeing counts, a DUI charge, and multiple traffic violations. He remains in Clearfield County Jail on $75,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing set for April 24.
   

3. Edna 'May' Bundy (gantnews.com) — Family and friends in DuBois are mourning Edna “May” Bundy, a 65-year-old DuBois High School graduate whose arrangements are being handled through Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Raised in Sabula, she leaves behind two sons, including one living in DuBois, and several grandchildren. Honoring her wishes, no public services will be held.
   

4. Car Goes Airborne Before Striking Building in Huston Township (gantnews.com) — A DuBois man and a 1-year-old girl from Penfield were hospitalized after their Subaru went airborne and hit a business along Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township. State police from the DuBois barracks say the vehicle left the road, rolled, and struck a building before both occupants were taken to Penn Highlands DuBois with minor or potential injuries.
