• PPL offering reimbursement for ice and water (fox56.com) — Dunmore residents without power from recent storms can get reimbursed by PPL for limited daily purchases of ice and bottled water, with receipts mailed to the utility. Seniors and anyone needing relief from the heat can also use the Dunmore Senior Community Center on Monroe Avenue as a weekday cooling site, alongside other Lackawanna County locations. 
• Developer still plans campground in Dunmore near I-84/380 twin bridges (thetimes-tribune.com) — A new “glamping”-style campground with five cabins is still planned for Silver Lake in Dunmore, tucked between the rebuilt I-84/380 twin bridges and Route 435, with construction targeted for spring 2027. The project already has Dunmore Zoning Board approval, follows completion of major PennDOT bridge work, and sits beside the county trail corridor and restored former railroad bridge now open to pedestrians.
• LITTLE LEAGUE: Carbino Club/Archbald/Moosic Major softball captures Section 5 title (thetimes-tribune.com) — Dunmore youth baseball fans can catch up on a big District 17 Majors win at Dunmore, where Luciano Cintron and teammates powered a 13–1 victory over Dingman Delaware. The roundup also highlights another Dunmore squad in 9-10-11 play plus several nearby Little League teams advancing in sectional and district tournaments.
