• Lafayette College administration announces Quad 'Bicentennial Village', construction to begin Friday (lafayettestudentnews.com) — Lafayette College is closing its main Quad this fall to build a temporary "Bicentennial Village" event tent, shifting student gatherings to spots like Anderson Courtyard, Schwartz Schoor Plaza, Easton Quad and the new Fisher Quad Sports Court. Funded through Bicentennial investments, the structure will host major celebrations, student events and fundraisers before being removed and the Quad reseeded and improved by graduation.
• McGurn's 4-touchdown performance leads Easton football to big home win (lehighvalleylive.com) — Easton Area High School fans saw junior quarterback Zahviay McGurn account for four touchdowns as the Red Rovers dominated Pennsbury 32-7 at Cottingham Stadium, securing their first win of the season. Coaches and players praised improved second-half execution, especially on defense and in the run game, as they now turn their focus to hosting Parkland in a key District 11 rematch next Friday.
• Easton's Love Islander: Sean Reifel sits down with The Lafayette (lafayettestudentnews.com) — An Easton resident and former Bethlehem police officer, Sean Reifel, talks about his stint on "Love Island USA," why he chose to come home to Easton for his young son and how that decision cost him his job. Now focusing on social media and pursuing a patient care assistant role at St. Luke's, he explains why staying rooted in Easton matters more than TV fame.
