Easton Baseball Team to Honor Dr. Terry Bartolet

, one of the most accomplished athletes in the school's history, died March 4 at 71.
To honor him, the baseball team will wear patches on their uniforms featuring Bartolet's number and initials inside of the image of a baseball.

Bartolet, who graduated in 1959, captained the baseball team in his junior and senior years.
"It was said if you needed a key hit it was Terry you wanted at the plate," the team said in a news release Monday. "He possessed a very strong throwing arm and was a fantastic fielder."

Bartolet was a three-sport athlete, quarterbacking Easton's undefeated 1958 football team, and holding the basketball team's record for the number of points scored -- 48 -- in a single game.
