The land, recently acquired by the city, could host over 250 apartments and limited storefronts, while the Karl Stirner Arts Trail hopes to secure a small visitor center inside.
   

2. UGI System Upgrades to Begin Next Week in Easton (reportablenews.com) — UGI Utilities will start replacing a natural gas main in Easton on Tuesday, September 15, affecting North 13th Street between Bushkill Drive and Wood Avenue through mid-November. Expect weekday construction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic restrictions, and brief gas service interruptions while crews access properties to inspect and relight equipment, with final paving and restoration to follow.
   

3. Man shot, killed after confrontation with 2 people at home in West Easton (tiogapublishing.com) — A 52-year-old man was found shot to death inside his home in West Easton on Saturday morning, prompting a large response from state police and local agencies. Investigators say there's no ongoing threat to the public, but Spring Street between East Street and Ridge Street is closed during the active homicide investigation and autopsy process.
   

4. Parkland football finishes strong to exact revenge on Easton (lehighvalleylive.com) — Easton High's football team took a tough 44-14 home loss to Parkland at Cottingham Stadium, a year after beating them in the District 11 Class 6A final. The game recap highlights key plays, standout performances, and how Easton's offense battled before Parkland pulled away, plus what the Red Rovers need to fix before their upcoming trip to Bethlehem Catholic.
