Paxinosa Celebrates the Holidays with Community Event

Nearly 600 attended Paxinosa Elementary School's holiday celebration "Pizza with Santa" Thursday evening.

Pizza, Santa Claus, crafts and gifts were all part of a fun-filled evening at Paxinosa Elementary School Thursday evening.

With nearly 600 members of the community in attendance, the “Pizza with Santa” party was held in two shifts to accommodate everyone.

There was pizza for all, and children received small toys from Santa's elves after a visit with the man in red and white, as well as a choice of books to take home, courtesy of the Cops 'n' Kids reading program. Seasonal crafts kept both big and little hands busy too.

Clearly a hit, the event was organized by the city's Weed and Seed program, with the help of volunteers from the community and with various local organizations, including the Easton Area School District, the Police Athletic League, Lafayette College, the City of Easton, the Cops 'n' Kids Reading Room, Easton Blockwatch, and the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley.
