Paxinosa Program Promotes Reading
Easton area Girl Scouts deliver more than 4,000 books to students at Paxinosa Elementary.
Students at Easton's got an early Christmas present Thursday, in the form of more than 4,000 books.
The books were collected by Girl Scout Service Unit 709 and distribute through the city's .
The idea is to encourage students to read, and to become more active in school programs as they get older.

"You need to get involved," Mayor Sal Panto told the students. "You get involved by reading."
Students from Easton Area High School came to read to the students, who were allowed to each take two books home. The rest of the books will be added to Paxinosa's library.
