Storm Means No School For Easton Kids Monday
District posts cancellation notice on its website.
School will be starting a bit later this year for kids in the Easton Area School District, thanks to Hurricane Irene.
The district posted this message on its website Saturday evening:
Due to Hurricane Irene and the dangers of the inclement weather, the Easton Area School District will be closed on Monday, August 29, 2011. All offices will be closed as well. Kindergarten through 4th grade will have half days on Tuesday and Wednesday. We have decided to be proactive considering the anticipated power outages, flooding and possible facility damage. More information will be provided, if the situation warrants.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame High School in Bethlehem Township will also be closed Monday, according to WFMZ.
