• Cambria County adds 30th trailhead to challenge (altoonamirror.com) — Ebensburg residents can now join the Cambria County trailhead challenge for a shot at $250 gift certificates from Vale Wood Farms and Up-N-Running of Ebensburg. Participants must photograph themselves at all 30 trailheads, including the new Nanty Glo Park and Pool site, and submit images and contact details via Facebook Messenger between May 1 and Nov. 2.

• Local brothers remain in ICE custody (observer-reporter.com) — Cambria County Prison in Ebensburg is now holding one of two immigrant brothers whose detention has sparked health concerns and protests over conditions at the Moshannon Valley Processing Center. Advocates describe alleged unsanitary food, inadequate medical care, and a growing hunger strike, while county officials and the facility’s operator dispute reports of serious problems and outline oversight efforts.
