• More than $7.6 million allocated through LSA funding for area projects (thetimes-tribune.com) — Edwardsville is set to benefit from a $250,000 Local Share Account grant that will buy shared equipment for street and infrastructure maintenance in the borough and neighboring towns. The funding is part of more than $7.6 million awarded across Lackawanna and Luzerne counties for projects ranging from road work and public safety to community facilities and youth programs.
   

• Two men remain fugitives in Plymouth Kielbasa Festival shooting (timesleader.com) — Residents should know that two men, including one from Edwardsville, remain fugitives after an August shooting tied to a riot at the Plymouth Kielbasa Festival that injured a bystander. Several other young men from Edwardsville and nearby towns have already been arrested or waived hearings, with high bails and future court dates set in Luzerne County.
