• South Strabane firefighters rescue ducklings in storm drain (observer-reporter.com) — An Elizabeth resident helped spark a heartwarming rescue after spotting a distressed mother duck at South Strabane’s Old Mill shopping center, leading firefighters and police to save eight ducklings from a storm drain. The crew carefully lifted the grate, coaxed each duckling to safety, and reunited them in a basket before returning them to their anxious mom.
