The proposal would add detailed rules on excessive noise, enforcement, and penalties, and a full copy is available for review at the Mount Joy Township Municipal Building in Elizabethtown during weekday business hours. 
• Lancaster County Births: August 4, 2026 (lancasteronline.com) — Lancaster County’s latest birth announcements include a new baby born to Randy and Salinna McNaughton of Elizabethtown at Women & Babies Hospital. The list also highlights dozens of other growing families across nearby communities like Lancaster, Mount Joy, Lititz, and Bainbridge, underscoring how many local parents are welcoming children this summer.
• Remains identified years after duck hunter finds body in Susquehanna River (local21news.com) — Human remains found in the Susquehanna River near Conoy Township in 2021 have finally been identified as Lewistown native Shane Allen Workman, thanks in part to analysis by an anthropologist from Elizabethtown College and advanced DNA genealogy. While the confirmation brings some closure to his family, investigators are still working to understand how he died and are asking the public for tips.
