Six invitations to tonight's CEPTA - East Penn Candidates Night were distributed, but just two affirmative RSVPs came back, according to John Donches of the Concerned East Penn Taxpayers Association (CEPTA). Emmaus resident John Reynard, who is running for the 134th State House Seat, and Rick Daugherty, who is running in the 15th Congressional District, are the only candidates who accepted an invitation to tonight's CEPTA Candidates Night, Donches said. CEPTA invited the candidates running in the three races that impact the East Penn School District -- the 134th and 131st State House races and the 15th U.S. Congressional race, he explained. The candidate pairings in those races are: 134th State House Race Incumbent Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-134th) vs. Democratic Challenger John Reynard 131st State House Race Incumbent Rep. Justin Simmons (R-131st ) vs. Democratic Challenger John Deely 15th U.S. Congressional Race Incumbent U.S. Rep.
