In February 2020, students in Wescosville’s Community Service Club were enthusiastically making pillows to donate. Over several club meetings, they constructed 25 small, fleece pillows to give to charity. COVID however, would postpone that donation. On September 28th, their hard work and dedication was realized. The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley was able to accept their generous donation. PCFLV is a local organization with a wonderful mission: “To embrace the pediatric cancer journey alongside children and their families, moving forward as a community with love, hope and smiles.” It is the hope of the now sixth-graders and Mrs. Hanssen their club leader that this small gift brings a little joy to the children battling cancer in our area.
