• End of North Hills-area group garbage contract could spark broader discussion on future of trash collection (triblive.com) — Etna has chosen to extend its current Waste Management trash contract through 2027, buying time before it must seek new bids for garbage service starting in 2028. Local officials are also exploring a possible regional waste authority with neighboring towns to gain better pricing and more consistent services, which could eventually reshape how Etna’s trash is collected.
