Join us for an unforgettable musical journey that bridges a monumental milestone in American history with the magic of the holiday season. The Pennsylvania Flute Choir invites you to a special concert celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, alongside a delightful selection of light Christmas fare. From the sparkling, brilliant highs of the piccolo to the rich, resonant depths of the alto, bass, and contrabass flutes, our ensemble will weave a unique sonic tapestry that honors the American spirit and ushers in the warmth of the holidays. The Saturday November 14 performance will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, in Exton, PA. An identical concert will be presented at the Tel Hai Retirement Community Center for Worship and Performing Arts, in Honeybrook, PA at 7:30 p.m. Both are free, with donations gratefully accepted.
The Pennsylvania Flute Choir is an auditioned, community group formed in 2002 by flutist, Georgia Dimaano. The choir has grown from a one-time recital group to an active, professional ensemble. Its members hail from southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. The choir performs throughout the tri-state region for engagements such as concert series performances, weddings, religious services, private parties and music for special events. They also perform at regional flute fairs and flute society events and conventions.
All members of the choir are adult flutists from varying backgrounds. Flutists have an advanced proficiency of the flute and audition to achieve member status. For more information, check out our website at https://paflutechoir.org/home.
